GEAR SET:

AGMA Q13 Standard uses precision gear manufacturing techniques to provide extreme efficiency with lower mechanical losses and lower noise levels.

*Bison turbo uses AGMA Q13 gear which is over 30% more precise than grade 12 gear.

Thrust Collars

Centrifugal design to provide improved efficiency and power saving.

Thrust collars on pinion shaft create an oil wedge, which carries the huge remaining net thrust to the bull gear where it is absorbed by a simple low-speed thrust bearing.

Reduced power loss from gearbox.

Increased structural integrity.

BEARING

Engineered for Increased
Reliability

Tiling Pad Bearing

Tilting pad bearing provides increased stability.Tested for various loadings over a wide range.

Reliable for the entire operational range, from no load to full load, and anything in between.

Taperland Thrusting
And Journal Bearing

Bison turbo' s specially designed thrust bearing can provide up to 3 times extra loads when compared with traditional thrust bearing while low speed pinion can withstand greater power loads. Both features are essential for the outstanding stability during operation.

Capacity Control

Bison turbo blowers are designed to utilize variable Inlet Guide Vanes (IGV), variable Diffuser Guide Vanes (DGV) or a combination of IGV and DGV configuration for capacity control and provide stable partial load performance. The variable IGV has a wide operating range while variable DGV offers efficient single blower control.

CATERING FOR
DIFFERENT CAPACITY NEEDS

Bison turbo Integrated Centrifugal Blower is designed to cater for the different capacity needs of a waste water treatment plant. The blower can be equipped with various capacity control options to meet the demands of specific discharge pressure and volume. Flexibility and efficiency is an integral part of the bison Turbo blower.

THE DRIVE SYSTEM

Comprehensive protection and control

Vibration sensor installed between
tilting pad bearing and oil sealing
provides constant monitoring of the
pinion’s operation condition to
protect the rotor assembly.

Modulating Blow-
off Control

Blow-off silencer is used as a control mechanism to maintain constant pressure. This prevents frequent blower stop-start as excess gas is discharged through the blow-off silencer when the pressure reaches critical point.

Temperature Sensor monitors the change of
temperature in the tilting pad bearing to ensure a
safe operation.

INDEPENDENT LOCAL
